From German Roots to an International Engineering Group

German Plant Experience began in Germany with the establishment of German Plant Experience GmbH in Heidelberg, founded by Markus Guckenhan and Matthias Gottschalk. Both brought extensive experience in the concrete and concrete-products industry, with a clear objective: to provide technically sound and commercially competitive production solutions.

GPE initially established itself as a manufacturer and supplier of concrete batching plants, combining German engineering principles with practical knowledge of concrete production.

Over the years, the scope of GPE’s activities expanded to include cement silos, cement terminals, pugmills and equipment for concrete and concrete-products production. The Group has also developed capabilities in engineering, project execution, installation and commissioning of complete production facilities.

Today, GPE has successfully commissioned more than 200 production facilities for concrete manufacturing in markets across the world. Through associated companies, partnerships and local operations, the GPE name has established a presence in Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Italy and Australia, with projects delivered across multiple continents.

Our experience extends from individual batching plants to large, integrated concrete-production complexes, designed around the specific production requirements, site conditions and commercial objectives of each client.

The principles that shaped GPE from the beginning remain central to the business today: sound engineering, dependable equipment, competitive project economics and long-term customer support.
